New Changes for 2024 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Get ready for a hauntingly fun time as Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns to Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort. This year, the party kicks off earlier than ever on August 9th and will continue on select nights until October 31st. This separately ticketed event is packed with new surprises and beloved returning features.
One of the most important and welcomed changes impacts families in particular. The beloved Boo-To-You Halloween Parade will start an hour earlier in the evening (now 8:15), making it perfect for families with young children to enjoy the festivities before bedtime.
The biggest concern for families with After Hours Events, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is the hours. While the parties start at 6 pm, late parties can make it difficult for families to get the “value” of the parties because their children can’t stay out as late. An earlier parade will be a big benefit for those with young kids that want to experience the Boo to You Parade (the highlight of the party).
While an opening date has not been announced, Disney confirmed Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be available to guests during the Halloween Party.
Alongside new attractions, fan favorites like the Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular will return.
For 2024, Mickey and Minnie are debuting new outfits adorned with neon spiderweb designs, perfect for spooky season photo ops. The park will be buzzing with more frequent appearances by Disney's most notorious villains, adding to the excitement.
A highlight this year is the all-new DescenDANCE Party at Tomorrowland's Rockettower Plaza Stage, directly inspired by Descendants: The Rise of Red, set to premiere this July on Disney+. Dance parties are always a treat for families and the Disney Junior Dance Party will return at Cosmic Ray’s.
Bruno Madrigal from Encanto will be making his first appearance at the event. Guests can meet him and Mirabel at their special setup in Fairytale Garden.
Trick-or-treating will continue with plenty of candy stations throughout the park, stocked with treats like M&M’S, Skittles, and Snickers. Don't miss out on special event-exclusive merchandise, including a new collectible Ear Headband, available only during party nights.
Tickets for resort guests go on sale May 8, while general admission will be available from May 15.
